Each user has an individual profile, where you can assign them equipment and set booking rules. Any equipment that is assigned directly to the user will be impacted by the individual booking rules set.

Alternatively, you can also give users access to equipment via access groups, with group booking rules for assigned equipment. Where the equipment is assigned to the user, either via their individual settings or via an access group, determines which booking rules will be followed.
For example, if a user has access to Equipment X through Individual booking rules, and on their profile it says that the user has permission to edit their bookings, any booking the user creates on Equipment X they will be able to edit.
If the user is also in Access Group 1, which has the rule turned off for editing their own bookings, any bookings the user creates for equipment that is assigned to them via this group will not be editable.
Please note that a user is not permitted to have multiple points of access to the same equipment. Using the above example, since Equipment X is assigned to the user's individual profile, the user cannot be added to an access group that has been assigned access to Equipment X.
